Girls on the Run SoleMates
Want to use the power of running to make a difference in the life of a girl?
Join SoleMates, the charity running program of Girls on the Run! SoleMates are male and female athletes who pursue individual goals, such as running a marathon, to raise money for Girls on the Run of Puget Sound. All money raised goes directly to support new programs and ensure all girls have the opportunity to participate in Girls on the Run regardless of income level.
A SoleMate participant's minimum fundraising goal is just $262!
You can be part of SoleMates for any athletic event, whether you are planning to run, walk, bike, swim or do a combination!
WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO?Register online to become a SoleMates participant and agree to pay a non-refundable $26 upon registration. This amount will not be applied toward your minimum fundraising goal. By registering for SoleMates you agree to raise a minimum of $262 for Girls on the Run of Puget Sound on or thirty (30) days after completing your athletic event, or be personally responsible for this amount. Registration for SoleMates does not include registration to the actual race or event in which you choose to participate.
When you register make sure to choose Girls on the Run of Puget Sound as your council!
Sign Up for Girls on the Run SoleMates 2009 (for events before 1/1/10)
Sign Up for Girls on the Run SoleMates 2010 (for events between 1/1/10-6/30/10)
Sign Up for Girls on the Run SoleMates 2010-2011 (for events between 7/1/10-6/30/11)
WHAT DO I GET? SoleMate participants receive the following support from Girls on the Run International:
- Exclusive SoleMates technical t-shirt upon registration

- Incentive prizes for participants reaching & exceeding fundraising minimum. The levels are:
- $262
- $500
- $750
- $1,000 and Up
- Simple online fundraising through Active.com
- Online training plans to fine tune your training
- Inspirational emails from Girls on the Run to keep you motivated
- Extra motivation of running for a reason - to change the lives of girls!

- Kick-off Event: 9/2/09 7:00pm at Starbucks Madison Park (4000 E Madison Ave)
- Distance Run: Saturday, 9/12
- Speed Workout: Tuesday, 9/15 or Thursday, 9/17
- Speed Workout: Tuesday, 9/29 or Thursday 10/1
- Distance Run: Saturday, 10/10
- Speed Workout: Tuesday, 10/13 or Thursday 10/15
- Speed Workout: Tuesday, 10/27 or Thursday 10/29
- Distance Run (along the half/full marathon route): Saturday, 11/7
- Speed Workout: Tuesday, 11/10 or Thursday 11/12
- Get together or last easy run: Week of 11/23
- Seattle Half & Full Marathons: Sunday 11/29
