Girls on the Run of Puget Sound offers great volunteer opportunities for people who want to see girls grow up to be strong, confident women. Whether you want to work with girls, loan your professional skills, or just want to get involved in something new, Girls on the Run has many avenues for involvement. It's a great way to meet new people, do something rewarding and have fun!
As an evolving grass-roots organization, we rely on volunteers every step of the way. Your effort will truly help shape the organization and make it a success. We couldn't do it without you!

Be a GOTR Intern (6/08)
Girls on the Run is looking for a fall program intern to assist with day-to-day operations in the GOTR Office as well as special projects. Believe in girl power? Interested in learning more about non-profits? Have 10-15 hours/week? Join our team! Perfect for college students and/or those interested in getting hands-on non-profit experience. Position runs Sept. 1 - Dec 13.
Co-Coach a Program (6/08)
Do you believe in the power of accomplishment and the strength of camaraderie? Are you passionate about encouraging self-esteem among girls? Then become a GOTR Co-coach! Coaching is the most rewarding way to get involved in Girls on the Run! Help girls uncover their potential and challenge themselves to achieve their goals. Fall coach training is September 13. Volunteer at the Danskin Triathlon! (06/08)
Join GOTR at our water station for the Danskin Triathlon on August 17. Each year we volunteer at Danskin to give back to the community of women athletes who support us. It's a great way to meet a bunch of other fun folks AND support your friends and family who may be participating in the event.
Run for Girls - Join Team Tiara! (6/08)
Hundreds of runners and walkers across the US complete local races to raise money for their nearby Girls on the Run chapter. You can sign up anytime! More...
Volunteer on Our Wondergirl 5k Committee! (06/08)
Girls on the Run is very excited to present our FIRST EVER Wondergirl 5k this December 6. This event is our fall program "graduation" 5k. It is also a community 5k run/walk. 100% of the proceeds will benefit Girls on the Run of Puget Sound. Help give us a great start by joining our race committee.
Ready, Set...GO GIRL! - Join our Auction Committee! (06/08)
Our May event comes to life through the efforts of the event committee and numerous other volunteers. It's a great way to meet a bunch of other fun folks and create a fabulous experience for all the divas who run! Check out our auction page for more information!

Ongoing Opportunities

Be a Running Buddy - Want to get involved and experience the program, but don't have a lot of time? Be a girl's Running Buddy! A Running Buddy accompanies and encourages one girl for her first "Practice 5K" run and a "real" community 5k race at the culmination of the program. This is a two-time commitment, but Running Buddies are welcome and encouraged to visit her girl’s program as well. (Sign up in early October for our Fall Program)
